Apple Orchard

We took Justin to the Apple Orchard and he had fun. We rode the big wagon through the

orchard to the pumpkin patch and brent and I picked out pumpkins for us to carve with his family the we got a small pi pumpkin for Justin. Then of course we had to get hot apple cider and sugar doughnuts. We had a lot of fun.

Raspberry Jam

So even though it was raining and freezing my sister-in-law Kimberly and I decided to go to the Orchard and pick raspberries to make freezer jam. Of course we were the only crazy ones to brave the rain with our ponchos on and everything. We didn't end up picking as many as we would have liked to due to the bad weather. This was my first time making freezer jam and who knew it was so easy. We got 4 1/2 conatiners maybe next year we will be smart and go sooner in the season so that it is not so cold.

Traverse City

We decided to go on a mini family vacation. We went to northern Michigan and stayed in Traverse City. The first thing we did was go to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. All of the sand pictures are from there. We also went to Good Harbor Bay and splashed in the water for a little bit it was freezing and starting to rain. We had a lot of fun even though it rained a lot the second day. We waited the rain out and went swimming in the hotel pool. We go a lot of cherry things since Traverse is known for cherries. We got cherry hot chocolate,cherry salsa,cherry taffy. Brent and I got Traverse City hoodies and Jp a t-shirt. It was a great vacation.

Christmas Card Party

So a bunch of ladies in my ward got together and made Christmas cards. We each designed on and then brought supplies for 11 other cards and at the end of the night we all went home with 12 cards. (The second picture is the one I designed)

My latest craft project

So as you could see from my last post I have accumulated a lot of hair accessories and I have a lot more now so I wanted to make something to organize them and here it is. Now i am realizing I should have taken a before picture.

Flowers

Ok this post is really for my Sister-in-law Becca. The first picture are one that I made with her and we went crazy and made a lot of them. I wanted to show her ones that I made after she left and went back to school. The headband was a plain black one I have had for a long time and I decided to spice it up with little purple flowers. The other four are from flowers that I had in my scrapbooking supplies. They all turned out great Becca and I love wearing them. (p.s. Becca for the little ones I bought some baby clips to put them on.)

The Blanket I Made

I made these for my Sister-in-law Aubry who is having a girl in December. My Mom sent me my sewing machine from Idaho so I needed a project to make.This is the first baby blanket that I have ever made and I think it turned out pretty good and i love the matching burp cloths.
