Gingerbread houses

So every year we make gingerbread houses at our friend Tracey's house. Justin had fun making a house with Grandma J. then he just wanted to eat the candy.

Relief Society Christmas Party

OK so I just have to share these super cute cupcakes that I made because I am so impressed with myself. Yes they take a little time but they were so fun to make and share. They are a great conversation piece. They are just plain frosted cupcakes and then you take mini marshmallows and cut them in half diagonally and dip the sticky side in colored sugar. Then you just arrange them starting on the outside of the cupcake and work your way to the middle and I used edible decorating balls for the center. I first say them in pastel colors to look like mums for Mother's Day or just for spring. I did them red to look like poinsettia's.

Springs Christmas Party

Our apartment complex had a Christmas pizza party, cookies and visit with Santa.

Loves to look at all of the ornaments.

Decorating and eating sugar cookies.

Checking out the tree.

Daddy and Mommy.

Absolutely terrified of Santa. He just screamed and did his famous backarch
and this is the only picture we could get.

Ward Christmas Party

So Brent and I are(were) on the Activities Commity at church. We decided to have a Polar Express themed party this year and we (well me Brent wasn't much help lol) were put in charge of all of the decorations because the rest of the commity believes me to be the most crafty I guess. So I decided to make it winter like and I cut out a lot of paper snowflakes to string across the ceiling. Then I attempted to make a cardboard train to go with the movie theme and little trees with snow around them for the tables.
The party was great and all of the kids came in their pj's and there were a few musical numbers and the reading of the Polar Express book. Then we gave everyone a real reindeer bell like the ones in the story. It was short and sweet and ended before 8:30pm

One thing that did not turn out so well was after all the fun was over and we were cleaning up Brent and a few guys decided to shoot the basketball a little bit and just let the kids run free well all of a sudden Justin just threw up all of the gym floor(by the way is carpet not wood) and it scared him so much he was crying and shaking.Luckily I had extra clothes for him and all the men did the clean up so I didn't even have to deal with that.

Thanksgiving

Justin loves celery and he just loved eating a big stick.
Grandma's pineapple turkey.

Super Saturday and Craft Night

So for our craft night in November we made rag wreaths and I
decided to make a Valentine's one since I already have a wreath for the other holidays.
I used 4 different patterns of fabric then we used pinking shears and cut them in strips and tie them onto a wire wreath. So easy and so cute.
For Super Saturday it was a little different this year and there were only 2 craft classes
and I taught 1 of them on how to make those accordion(sp?) style photo books.(sorry maybe picture later) Then there was a class to make these really cute wooden holiday blocks. I did the JOY,NOEL, and I still have to make the HARVEST one. I also bought an extra NOEL because the first one was for a gift, but I thought that since I already have a JOY and my house is so small I am going to make a LOVE for Valintine's instead.

Brent's Birthday

The hole punch, shirt, and cheez-its our from my family.

Belt from his Mom and Dad.

Battleship and Mall Cop from Justin and I.

Heavy Heavy hangover thy poor head. Jenga Max from Ben and Kim.

Yes he got 2 of the same movie. One from Kurt and one from Kim.

Brent turned 27 this year. We went out to dinner at a place called Rib City. The boys wanted to go there and all of the girls were kinda sceptical because there logo is a giant pig. It was actually pretty good. Then we just went back to his parents for gifts and cake and ice cream.
